Step 1:
Begin by cutting 5" of Soft Flex.
String on a crimp tube and
make a small loop at the end.
Crimp tube closed.
Step 2:
Crimp each finished strand of
the necklace to the loop that
you have just made. Note the
use of 2mm beads at the end of
each necklace strand. This
technique allows the strands to
taper at the ends so they lie
smoothly against the cone.
Often this step is missed and
the strands going into the cone
bump against each other and
make the necklace look bulky
at the ends. The 2mm beads are
hidden underneath the cone.
Step 3:
Slide the cone on the empty
Soft Flex strand. The cone will
cover the 2mm beads used to
taper, and lie snugly against the
main beads in the strands.

Step 4:
Add a 3mm bead and 2x2 crimp
tube at the end above the cone.
The 3mm bead will prevent the
crimp tube from getting lost
inside the cone as well as to
provide a nice finish at the end.
Step 5:
Crimp the Soft Flex strand
emerging from the cone onto a
clasp. Cut away the extra
SoftFlex below the crimp.
Repeat steps on the other side
to finish the necklace. Be sure
to leave the clasp connected as
you close the other side. This
step will allow enough slack in
the necklace so that it will
drape in a natural manner.
